BH3 at the Golden Age?

Quite a large group of hashers turned up for the run which was at the same area the Hares (got) laid a year ago.  Small circles were formed and gossips, chit-chat as well as rumours were heard here and there.  All kinds of strange rumours about Richard Ellis, Ron Thomson and Brian Heath were going around.  And the popularity of the Hash Web was discussed and credit given to Randell, the Web Master.  Nevertheless, while everyone was enjoying the conversation, the GM was seen standing alone under the pine tree that no one paid attention to him despite the fact that many gestures were made.

What did he do wrong?  What's wrong with BH3?  Or what's wrong with the GM?

We started the run around five and most people walked slowly at the back of the temple, crossing the klong and reached the first check.  I notice that very few hashers really run these days.  Are we too old?  Too lazy?  Too fat?  Or perhaps too depressed because of the pressure from home?  Moreover, during the run in the nice orchards, I again saw several hashers fell on the ground i.e.Max, Ian Taylor, Stuart Barwick, Vinai and especially Rudy who fell into the black water for jumping an inch too short.  Are they now too weak? Not fit enough?  Or are they too confident of themselves?

Since the Hares are Thais I notice that the run was well attended by nearly all the Thai members namely the Senator, Teerachai, Teeradej, Narest, Vinai and his son, Buranachai and of course, Pitak.  Why are they so united and respect each other?  Why not the British? Americans? Aussies? European and Turkish etc.?  I still remember the good old time when we were very happy, just enjoyed life, laughing, bluffing, could not care less and loved one another so much.  Is it possible to bring back those good memories?  Or shall we continue to grumble, yell at each other, moan and take things too serious?

At the circle the Hares got the compliments for laying an excellent run.  However, Joost Hash Flash was sacked (in his absence) and replaced by Brian Pope who has now got two jobs.  Richard, the Hash Mugger resigned (in his absence) and has been replaced by Vinai.  When will the firing and hiring stop?  How many more committee members will be sacked and when will this cabinet be dissolved?

The ON-ON-ON at Suffle's mother-in-law's restaurant was well attended by most of the packs.  Good food, beers and wines at rock bottom prices.  The GM was so happy because Turkey got its first gold medal.  And the Thai team celebrated the victory for their boxers.  Teeradej, Suffle, the Senator and Bob Boulter who has now changed to Thai nationality sang the porn-karaoke Thai songs and before not too long, had driven the packs off to somewhere else.  Before I left I heard Suffle's mother-in-law whispered to Suffle:- "Drive carefully son.  At the age above 55 we call this the Golden Age.  You will have less patience, less energy, less sexual ability, less sense of humours, easy to get angry and always get frustrated when others do not agree with you.  Please also tell everyone in the Hash who has reached this critical age. And you can fuck off now, son".
