The Pleasures of Bang Na 

Two phone calls received early Saturday morning, one from the co-hare and one from the GM advised me that the run directions in the Bangkok Post were wrong - just in case I was planning to go on the run. Mistake one - I went to somewhere at the back of the new ABAC campus. A smallish pack took a very leisurely start to the run which looked as though it was going to be basically around the countless fishponds which seem to be the main feature at this area. My first run for a few weeks and I quite enjoyed the first 22 minutes until On Sex lumbered me with the write up… mistake two. From what I recall the pack was pretty much together until we hit the temple where things fell apart!

 

From then on in it was jog/walk around the ponds/rice paddies and on and off the road. Luckily nice and cool, good conversation, and a damn long way with your scribe getting back to the beer after around two hours gentle exercise. Others even later before the circle was called - only one visitor with earrings from a town called Preston. On On On at the adjacent restaurant - very subdued with lots of piss for a mere 300 Baht. Nuff said.
