It's a blur...

Scene from the run (what most of the run looked like!)

Had some challenges getting to The Big Pond Restaurant (down the ring road between Onnut and Bangna) that I would rather not talk about.

The run started inside the fence and around the Big Pond on white and purple muck. To a gate and wobbly khlong bridge. Simister was snaffooed by cleverly following a lane and staying outside the fence at the start… and had to backtrack round once he reached and found no crossing available at the khlong where he met it. Pope lingered watching the fishing.

The silent jog along the khlong and out was interrupted only by the "Passing Onsec", ever helpful, telling me that I missed something that would have been good for the writeup (?).

The trail headed in and out of Windmill Park golf course and housing estate. Along khlongside paths, the speeding pack disappeared ahead in silence. Heard later about a right-hand loop nearly catching some hashers out, so figure it was a little bit clever to aim the pack at Bang-Na Trat Hwy for a while.

After an hour on the trail I am in Windmill Park again. Pretty, smiling caddies and extravagant real estate all round me. The rest is a blur. May have been an alien abduction. Later I was to recollect (and had it confirmed) a big Swiss and a Bangkok taxi were involved.

Did you know King Kaew Road has been massively developed since I lasted traveled it, and a rented taxi cab really can go much faster than an owner-driven one? And for the record, from within coo-ee of the start point, but inside Windmill Park, it was 25km around and back to the restaurant.

Good company. Usual bullshit. Rumor has it HAGS played front-runner. Some ran for over one and a half hours. Wouldn't have missed it for quids… Thanks to Rudi and Wolfgang.
